Multiple missing teeth

Are you missing several teeth? Find out which gaps can be temporarily covered – and which cannot.

When there are multiple gaps, people commonly ask: “Will a temporary solution even work?” The answer is: some gaps can be filled, some cannot, and some can only be filled if you do something else first. The key is to identify where the gaps are and whether the replacement has anything to rest against. Only then can the set be addressed.

No promises and no pressure: The diagnostic result may be ‘yes, proceed as follows’, ‘only certain gaps’ or ‘this isn’t for you’. Even a negative response is useful – it saves you money on something that wouldn’t work and steers you towards a more suitable solution.

More missing teeth and the moment of decision: where and how to start

More gaps do not mean it’s hopeless. It just means more questions that need answering before you buy.

Key principle

When multiple teeth are missing, the number isn’t important. What matters is where they’re missing.

A person with three gaps in the lower row – all between permanent teeth – may have a simpler case than someone missing a single tooth at the very back of the upper row, where there is nothing left to anchor it to. Another person has five gaps, but four of them are at the back, where they don’t cause any problems, and they only need to address the one at the front. That’s why it’s not about the number. It’s about where the gaps are, what’s next to them, and what really bothers you in your daily life.

Gap between natural teeth

This is the ideal scenario. There are stable teeth on both sides; DentiFlex rests against them and the replacement is held in place by a form-fit lock – the material flows into the interdental spaces and locks into place once it has set. The stronger the adjacent teeth, the more stable the result.

More separate gaps

Each gap is assessed individually. It often makes sense to start with just the section that bothers you the most – the front tooth that’s missing when you smile, or the gap that people look at when you’re talking. The rest can wait until you’ve gained some experience with the first fitting. There’s no need to do everything at once.

End gap

If a tooth is missing at the end of the row and there is no natural tooth on one side, the Denticor has nothing to rest against. Without an adjacent tooth on both sides, the shape-lock mechanism will not work and the replacement will not be stable. This is the limit at which we will refer you to a dentist or recommend a removable denture.

Three possible results

The diagnosis should tell you the truth, not just sell you a set.

Available

  • There are gaps between stable natural teeth
  • Are you dealing with one or more visible sections
  • This is not a case of pain, inflammation or swelling
  • the abutment teeth are stable and healthy

Denticor offers a realistic solution for your situation. Next step: selecting the appropriate set based on the extent of the work.

Partially suitable

  • Some gaps have abutments, others do not
  • It makes sense to tackle only the visible section first
  • The shape of the gum has changed over time
  • a larger material allowance is required

It’s not an all-or-nothing situation. It often makes sense to temporarily address the area that bothers you most in your daily life, and leave the rest to the dentist.

Not suitable

  • Most teeth or the entire dentition are missing
  • the supporting teeth are loose or severely damaged
  • it’s mainly about unsupported end gaps
  • if you have inflammation, swelling, pain or untreated gum disease

Denticor is not the right solution for this situation. A better option is to see a dentist, use a partial removable denture or another type of prosthetic solution.

No shame

If you’ve been putting it off for months or years, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

People learn to live with gaps in their teeth. They smile less, cover their mouths when they laugh, avoid having their photo taken, and speak more cautiously in meetings. When they finally seek a solution, they often encounter either prices they cannot afford or treatments that take a long time. Here, nobody judges you. There is only one question: what is the most sensible next step for you?

If it’s mainly a fear of the dentist that’s holding you back - out of embarrassment, because of the price, or because of memories of a bad visit – we have a separate page where we deal with this directly. → Fear of the dentist →

How to find out

The diagnostic scan will go through your gaps one by one. It takes 5 minutes.

You don’t need to know anything in advance. Just answer a few questions about where and how many teeth are missing. The diagnostic system will assess the rest for you.

1

Show where they are missing

Top, bottom, front, back. The diagnostic tool will ask you about each gap separately – where it is, how many teeth are missing in the row, and whether there are natural teeth next to it.

2

We check which neighbouring teeth are present

For each gap, the selector checks whether neighbouring teeth are present on both sides according to the map you confirm. It cannot assess their health or stability. Those conditions must be checked separately before using Denticor.

3

You’ll get a clear result

Which gaps can be fixed, which cannot, and where to start. No guesswork, no buying blind. If the result is ‘this isn’t for you’ – at least you know, and you’ll save money.

4

A solution is recommended

If the result is positive, the diagnosis will tell you the exact combination of Denticor 1–3 based on the number of missing teeth and their position, along with the final price.

Packaging options

If your confirmed selection meets the tooth-position requirements, choose your package based on the number of teeth.

You pay according to the number of missing teeth. We select each dental crown based on the width of the gap you specify when placing your order.

Two missing teeth
Denticor 2 · €79

Two composite dental crowns selected according to the width of the gaps – for adjacent teeth or teeth in different positions. Specify the width of each gap in millimetres when placing your order.

4 to 6 teeth
Combination · €109–€129

The price is calculated based on the total number of missing teeth: 1 tooth €59, 2 teeth €79, 3 teeth €99. Each additional tooth after the third costs €10. Denticor does not cover more than 6 teeth.

Put together a combination
Pre-purchase diagnosis is not a mere formality - if there are multiple gaps, it determines exactly how much material you actually need. Without it, you’re buying blindly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions regarding multiple gaps.

Isn’t my case too bad?

This is the question we hear most often – and it is almost always driven more by embarrassment than by reality. It’s the mechanics that matter, not the appearance: where the gaps are and how strong the adjacent teeth are. Someone who’s had gaps for ten years may have a better case than someone who lost a tooth a month ago. A diagnosis will tell you in five minutes – and if the result is ‘no’, at least you’ll know where to go next.

Do I have to treat all the teeth at once?

No – and we generally don’t recommend it either. Start with what really bothers you. That one front tooth you look at in the mirror every morning. Or the gap that makes you cover your mouth when you’re talking. Only once you’ve had the experience of your first fitting should you decide whether to proceed with the rest.

What if the diagnosis says no?

That, too, is an answer that helps. It will save you €59–€129 on something that wouldn’t work and would end in disappointment. And at the same time, it will tell you what makes sense for your situation – whether it’s a dentist, a removable denture or another type of prosthetic. Knowing where to go is sometimes more valuable than getting exactly what you were originally looking for.

For multiple teeth, start with a diagnosis, not a purchase.

A diagnosis will tell you what can be resolved now and what needs to be referred to a dentist. Only then does it make sense to decide on the kit. It takes 5 minutes and will save you both money and disappointment.
